Just finished reading Ender’s Game

I had heard of the book, and when I learned that they were making a movie, I decided it was time to read it.  

Well, the book was awesome.  Ender’s Game was actually harder to put down than any of the Song of Ice and Fire books, which surprised me.   Card did a good job of keeping the action going, and while the protagonist is shockingly young, the way all the other characters acted and the plot unraveled it was believable, while potentially being controversial to some.

Hopefully Hollywood doesn’t fuck this one up.  My hopes are low, but they exist.

I was left with a question though (spoiler for those who care enough).  The world that Ender and Val end up on, where Ender finds the giant’s corpse…

Did the Hive Queen know they would be destroyed?  Was the hidden pupa just a hedge bet or did she know her destruction was coming?  The Buggers obviously had enough warning if they were able to construct such a massive and intricate environment such as Ender’s fantasy world was.
